Ralph Graduated from Bristol University in 1982 with a degree in Mathematics and Statistics and started work with Clerical Medical as Trainee Actuary in their London Head Office. After 4 years of excitement in the field of Pensions and Broker Funds he left to take up a role as an Analyst with Stock Beech, then one of the leading regional Stockbrokers. In 1990 he and three colleagues founded Rowan Dartington as a Bristol based research based institutional Stockbroker.

In 2003 and 2004 he was the Starmine Stock Picker of the year in the Industrials and Pan European Support Services sectors respectively. Rowan Dartington was sold to Corporate Synergy giving Ralph an opportunity to move from sell side and join Montanaro. He is a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute with  over 20 years of experience in the analysis of  UK equities across a variety of sectors including Construction, Engineering, IT, Support Services and Industrials.

Ralph joined Montanaro in May 2006.
