Dan is a founder member of the International Dining Club and the Wessex Exiles Cricket Club. He is a keen supporter of a resurgent Southampton Football Club and has recently completed his second London Marathon.

He is also a keen traveller and has visited Pakistan, Madagascar, Morocco, Trinidad and Tobago and the Ukraine in the last couple of years.
