Raj gained his undergraduate degree at the University of York in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (First Class) in 2006. During this time, he also undertook an independent study period at Peking University. He went on to complete his MSc Management from Tanaka Business School, Imperial College London in 2007, with his thesis focusing on Intellectual Property Law in China and the role of the WTO.

Raj's previous work experience has included work as a business analyst and a marketing editor. Raj holds the IMC and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Raj joined Montanaro in August 2007.
