Stefan was awarded his first degree in Information Systems from the University of Cooperative Education in Mannheim in 1995. This was a practice-oriented higher educational institution which allowed him to work for a Munich based multimedia company during his studies. He then qualified in Business Administration from the University of Mainz.

Subsequently he worked for more than six years at Accenture, mainly in the financial services industry but also in the telecoms and healthcare sectors.   He spent some time at Accenture’s research laboratories in the South of France, developing and marketing innovative software product strategies. 

In 2006 he finished his Masters in Finance at the London Business School. He spent a short time at Nordwind Capital, a Munich based private equity company, analysing the automotive industry, and then at a property fund in Romania where he developed investment models to assess real estate investment opportunities in emerging markets.

Stefan joined Montanaro  in May 2007.
